Description: 2 real Photo postcards featuring the aftermath of a fire in Wichita, KS on Jan. 2, 1911. The photo of the side of the building, including an entrance to a theatre, is postmarked and the writer makes reference to the "Bitting Block". The frozen water is evidence of the cold and severity of the fire. This postcard shows some corner/edge wear, but has no creases or tears. The second card has a note written at the bottom, "The Herman & Hess Store after the fire. Jan 2, 1911, Wichita, Ks." It is unposted with an Artura stamp box. This card has minor corner/edge wear, no creases or tears. All of my postcards are shipped in a rigid mailer to protect them all the way to your door.
