Description: Set of 4 wonderful Linenette children's books about baby animals, c. 1940. The book size is 8 1/4" by 7 1/4". Linenette is a kind of cotton fabric that looks like linen. The books belonged to my mom when she was probably 5 years old, and her first name and the name of the giver are lightly penciled on the front covers (see photo). The colors in the books are vibrant and the interior pages are unmarked. The covers are not torn or bent. The names of the books are Chickies (#445), Piggies (#440), Pups and Pussies (#438), and Bunnies (#443). On the back cover is a G and the words Guaranteed Quality and Value and the words To Keep Busy the Little Hands and Little Head. Your children or grandchildren would love reading these with you!
