Description: Hello! This listing is for a Limited Edition Steinbach nutcracker S1800 Uncle Sam. He was handcrafted in Germany and signed by Christian Steinbach in 2001. He stands about 18.5" tall and is in very good, gently used condition. He was purchased brand new for my personal collection and always stored and displayed in low-light, nonsmoking conditions. The colors are bright with no fading. The music box in the drum works and plays "Stars and Stripes Forever." I have looked him over carefully, and overall, he is in very good condition. The only minor flaws I find upon very close examination are the following (By the way, I'm being really picky here. Almost all nutcrackers, even brand new ones, will have a number of minor flaws that many sellers won't list. I want you to know exactly what you are getting!): There is a small 1/8" spot on the front corner of the base where the varnish was rubbed off - picture 5. There are some very light, small indentations in the blue paint on his arms that don't show up in the pictures.There are some very light scuffs on the black paint on the raised foot - picture 5. There are some small, light dings on the blue edges of the drum - pictures 6, 11, 12. The back red-and-white-stiped edge of the drum also has some scuffs where they have rubbed on the pant leg (this part of the drum is against the nutcracker and can't be seen) - picture 11.There is some white sticker residue on the top of the base behind the block. You can't see this from the front, but can see it from the side and back - pictures 7, 8, 9. You might be able to carefully remove this residue. There are some tiny 1/16" dings on the back edge of the block - picture 9. The hang tag shown in the pictures and the original box are included. The box is in very good condition with some tape, creases, and light shelf wear. This nutcracker will be very carefully packed for shipping.
