Description: Up for grabs is a 1978 first PRC Richmond pressing (Elektra 6E-135) of the Cars' first album, simply self-titled The Cars. Then again, they didn't have to be any fancier: Their debut albm spawned several hit singles, including "Just What I Needed", "My Best Friend's Girl", and "Good Time Roll", as well as other radio and film hits such as "Bye Bye Love" and "Moving in Stereo". The Cars peaked at number 18 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart, and has been certified six-times platinum by the Recording Industry Assocation of America (RIAA). This copy's vinyl shows some marks, most look like rubbings on the inner sleeve, but some may be legitimate scratches. Per a test listening, however, none of them affect the playback. Vinyl Rating: VERY GOOD [VG]. The cover has very little shelf wear. Cover Rating: VERY GOOD [VG], The inner sleeve, which has some pics on one side and all song lyrics on the reverse, has the upper left corner on the picture side ripped off (but not on the lyrics side - see photos). In addition, one side of the inner sleeve is split more than halfway down from the top, and the bottom has splitting in the middle. There are no other rips, tears, stains, writing, etc.; the flat parts of the inner sleeve are still bright. Inner Sleeve Rating: GOOD [G]. Notes "PRC" on labels and etched in runouts denotes PRC Recording Company, Richmond, IN, pressing. Remainder of runouts etched, mastering stamped. Issued with printed inner sleeve with lyrics, credits, photos and notes. All songs published by Lido Music BMI except B3 published by Lido Music BMI and Oversnare Music ASCAP.
