Description: An original, engraved copperplate, antique map of THE HOLY LAND (A Map of the Holy Land according to its state in our Blessed Saviour's time). First published in L.Echard's A General Ecclesiastical History...in 1702, and on several other occasions up to 1729, the map is framed (510x605mm), mounted and hand coloured. The printed area measures 320x420mm. It features a scrolled title cartouche with fruits, a scale and lines of latitude and longitude. The map shows settlements, rivers, hills, lakes and provinces of biblical significance. In excellent condition, the map will be sold out-of-frame to international buyers.
