Description: The World of Yesterday by Stefan Zweig 1943 Viking Hardcover w/ Dust Jacket 1st print of the 1st U.S. edition. Original dust jacket with price present. Wear and chipping around the edges particularly at spine ends and fold-overs. Fold-overs have some tearing at the bottoms. Some very light shadowing noticeable in certain areas, most notably the spine. Small stain on the reverse of the front, at the bottom (shown). Boards have some bumping and softness to the corners and at the head of the spine. A slight bit softness to the top of the front board near the spine. Hinges have a tiny bit of up/down movement but are secure, as is the binding. Dust shadow to top of the text block which also has some dings. Some creasing to top margins to varying degrees (examples shown) on pages 110-180, and a small closed tear to p. 173 (shown) from text block dings. Very small dog-ears to bottom fore-edge corners of last several pages. Rare with the dust jacket. In great shape in comparison to other offerings available without the DJ.
