Description: This Auction is for:TITLE: Those Glorious MGM Musicals #43 – Three complete Original Soundtrack recordings, gathered on 2 LPs and mounted in a two pocket Gate-fold Cover with the inside panels dedicated to telling the history of the Soundtracks, The Pirate, Pagan Love Song and Hit The Deck. ARTIST: VariousLABEL/NUMBER: MGM 2 SES 43 ST – Two Vinyl LPs each containing half of the “Hit The Deck” Soundtrack, so you can put them on a stackable turntable and play a full “Hit The Deck” Soundtrack in order. The other side of each disc contains the full Soundtrack of another of the Movies. My Guidebook says these were Mono recordings but it clearly says “Stereo” on the record labels. The Guidebook also says that although MGM released many of their Soundtracks in Reprocessed Stereo in the mid-60s, that was not the case with The Pirate or Pagan Love Song, and that makes their release here in Reprocessed Stereo, quite unique. DISC CONDITION: These records are VG+ or better, one has a light surface rub that should not interfere with play. DETAILS: I always remove the records from the Cover for shipment, to avoid damage, particularly split seams, to the Cover during shipment.
