Description: Whether you are just starting to collect or have specific figures you need to complete your collection, you've come to the right place for quality U.B. Funkeys figures at a reasonable price. 1) These are pre-owned, loose figures that have had over a decade of dirt and scuffs meticulously cleaned and removed, for a "Like-New" finish. (Factory printing errors, discoloration from time, and/or other small irrepairable damage have been left alone.)2) The careful cleaning process also ensure that figures are GUARANTEED to work with any well-functioning U.B. Funkeys Hub. (If you purchase a figure from me and have difficulties getting it to work, please see the bottom of the description for guidance.)3) Where it applies, listed figures are the "common" variant, unless otherwise specified.4) The pictured figure is not necessarily the figure you will receive when you purchase. (But all figures are in good shape, worry not.) Please note: You do not need ANY figures or accessories to play UB Funkeys in the modern day, see this guide for details:https://wynaut.itch.io/fig(*I am not the author of this guide, nor am I affiliated with it in any way.) History:U.B. Funkeys was a social MMO PC game and series of toy collectable figures that was on the market between 2007 and 2010. The "online game" half of the franchise was developed by Arkadium, and the other "physical toys" half was designed by Radica and produced by Mattel; who purchased the former prior to the launch of U.B. Funkeys in 2006. After release, the toy line was met with promising success. This success even caught the eye of Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc, who partnered with U.B. Funkeys in 2008 to release a wave of Speed Racer figures to coincide with the movie release of the same name that same year. (WBEI SREI S08)The U.B. Funkeys are widely accepted to be the first 'toys-to-life' game, preceding the popular "Skylanders" franchise by a few years and Nintendo's "Amiibo" by half a decade. Despite being the first, it seems that U.B. Funkeys were seemingly ahead of their time, since the line was discontinued due to poor sales just one year before the aforementioned "Skylanders" would dominate the exact same niche to great success. Yet another example of how the trailblazers in an industry aren't necessarily the most successful; much to the chagrin of Mattel, I'm certain. If a figure you purchased from me isn't working after you receive it:(The following assumes that you have the drivers for the functionality of the USB Docking Hub correctly installed.) Solution 1) Shift the Funkey around.Often, all you need to do to get a seemingly unresponsive figure to read is to slide it around into slightly different positions on top of the Hub. If you are using the modern solution to playing U.B. Funkeys then I suggest that you try to keep an eye on the "Bitty ID" section of the tiny window that runs alongside the game. If you are moving the figure around and you see it change from "xxx" to some sort of number (the exact number varies by figure) then try to hone-in on the position you saw the number appear. You should be able to find a sweet spot you can leave the figure in for it to stay responsive. If the ID of the figure reads "none" no matter what position the Funkey is in, please refer to Solution 2. If the "window" where the figure reads correctly is too small for your liking, or if you can otherwise see that it shows a number sometimes but it just doesn't stay, you can attempt to widen it using Solution 3. Solution 2) Ensure that your USB Docking Hub is functional. Of course, if the Hub you are using is faulty then any figures you place on it will also have a hard time being recognized. The best and easiest way to ensure that your Hub is not the issue is to try other figures with it. If other figures work, it's not the Hub.If other figures don't work, and ESPECIALLY if your Bitty ID (Refer to Solution 1 if confused) reads nothing but "none" for ANY figure you use, then it is very likely that there is an issue with your USB Docking Hub. If you purchased your Hub from me and are confident that I sold you a non-functioning product, please message me about details. If your Hub was NOT sourced from me, I cannot offer you any advice for repairs. The USB Hub is a fairly complicated device (or, at least, it is when compared to the figures that sit atop it) and I cannot help with any technical solutions; it is out of my depth. If your Hub works, please move on to Solution 3. Solution 3) Clean the contacts on the bottom of the figure.Of course, all of my figures are thoroughly cleaned and have been tested multiple times to confirm that they work, but if you have gotten this far down the list of solutions without success, there is a non-zero chance that further cleaning of your figure even after it reaches you could prove to be a viable solution. For the best results, vigorously rub melamine foam (a "magic eraser") on the metal contacts on the figure for a few seconds. (For Funkeys that already function, this can also possibly make them more responsive!)
