Description: ~ For Your Consideration ~ Vintage Linen (Hair Blend) Fabric This is an unusual piece of linen blend fabric. The warp threads are soft and test to be likely linen. The weft threads appear to be a linen and fine black hair blend. I dissected a warp thread, separated the threads and did a burn test. The black part smelled like burning hair. It burned and did not melt. The thread tested together was inconclusive so this may be several natural fibers. One selvage edge is finished, the other edge has stiffer thread protruding. There are red lines running along the selvage edges. Medium weight. This could be hair canvas for tailoring.
