(Sometimes the shape and natural etching of the rough hides minor flaws and can’t be seen without cutting the stone.), Eye Clean = (inclusions exist but cannot be seen without loupe or tilting stone in a specific direction these inclusions cannot be photographed due to small size and camera angles)VVS = very very small inclusions or feathers. (almost eye clean has 1 or 2 minor inclusions), VS = very small (has noticeable inclusions) SI = slightly included (multiple interior inclusions. some may be major also includes cloudy stones) I = included, major inclusions, may not be fit for cutting however light still passes through the stone. Opaque = light does not pass though the stone. Exception = Opal is hard to grade on this scale and will not be graded.
