Description: This is a Rare Vintage 1969 Art Exhibit Book on Modern Artist Claes Oldenburg, by Barbara Rose. Oldenburg was known for his giant Soft & inflatable objects de art, of often everyday objects taken for granted. Published by The Museum of Modern Art in New York City, and the NY Graphic Society of Greenwich Ct., the book has an unusual soft vinyl cover, in keeping with the artist’s work. The 8 ½” x 14 ½” book, is 222-page long, with text & many B&W & Color examples of the artist’s work. Also included in the book are B&W drawings by the artist. In addition to the book is a 14-page guide to the 203 objects that appeared in the show. The book is in very good condition, although it does have some light warping to parts of the edges of the soft cover from age, and some minor cover wear otherwise.
