Vintage 1980s Hermann Teddy Original 12" Schnauzer Dog West Germany Rare Unknown

Description: This Hermann Original is an unknown version of their Schnauzer dog. The Hermann Teddy Original company began in 1912 and continues today as a family run business. I got this dog as part of a collection of teddy bears and other plush animals from an estate in Southern California. When I could not locate this one online I contacted the company for assistance. They responded with this information: "This Hermann Teddy Original dog is definitely one of ours but we are also unable to find exactly this style in our catalogues of that time. It must date back to the middle or late 1980s because we had started to use the red plastic logo then , it still has the “Western Germany” cloth tag we used before Germany was re-united in 1990 and we had similar dogs in our collection these days. However this plush Schnauzer dog– I would say – is not to be found. Maybe it was a special order we made for a retailer or department store but we are no longer able to trace it back." In addition to being rare, this individual has one brown and one blue eye. The brown eye is normal looking but the blue eye is unusual. See the last photo. The eye doesn't seem to have been replaced--the surrounding socket, eye lid etc seems just like his other eye but I cannot be sure. You are purchasing it as found. This sweet schnauzer dog measures approximately 12" tall and 10" from front of paw to tip of tail. This dog is in very good vintage condition. As part of a collection of designer plush it doesn't seem to have been played with. It has extremely soft fur. Please review photos and message any questions before bidding.
