Vintage Atlas O-scale track ties without the track rails.

Description: These were in a box with other parts that I wanted. At first I had planned to just throw them away but then I thought that I could buy some 148 scale track rails that is sold for hand laid track and slip them into these ties. You could use these as fill-in ties under the older Lionel style track. There may be a tie gripper here and there that is missing but it looks like they are all there and in good condition.Re-stringing these with track rails isn't hard to do at all. If you interlock two tie strips together like is shown in the last photo, then it's pretty easy to slide the base of the track rail into the grippers along the ties.File the sharp corners off the leading end of the base of the track rail to make it easier to slide it in place. I had enough of the regular flex track to finish my layout so I don't have any need to work with these tie strips. I have had them sitting on a shelf for a very long time. ................ 5/1/2024 I added some more tie strips to this listing ( see last photo ) ...................
