Description: Welcome to Milkweed Antiques. This vintage Halloween lantern is not marked, but it was made by Beistle. The black openwork 4 different designs are cardboard. There is a devil, screech cat, flying witch, and owl. At the top of each side is a jackolantern. The background is orange tissue paper that will let through the light if lit. When open, the lantern is square. It does have the cardboard base and a wire. This lantern without the wire is 7-7/8" tall x 4" wide and deep. The tabs on the base make the lantern 4-1/2" wide at that side. When flat, it is 8" wide. I did not put this lantern completely together because it can wear out the tabs and add creases. I will ship this item flat. This lantern is from the 1920s. This lantern was used, but not much. It was set up because there are a couple of small creases and edge nicks. There are a couple of smaller holes in the tissue paper by the cat. #12 shows the creases by he owl. No. 13 shows the crease on the witch's handle. Please see my pictures.
