Vogue Ginny ML Walker 1956 in Tagged Red Dress with Drum

Description: Up for your viewing fun comes absolutely darling 1955-56 Vogue Molded Lash Walker Ginny doll. Ginny is in wonderful working condition with brown sleep eyes that work entirely on their own and flutter as you walk her. She has intact, black molded eyelashes and brown/olive eyebrows. Ginny retains her original light blonde wig styled in thick curly braids with wispy, straight bangs. Her original wig is soft, clean, and in what appears to be the original braids. I have replaced the elastics and added new ribbons to the ends of her braids. She has a sweet expression, evenly blushed cheeks with no scuffs and a rosebud red mouth. Ginny's walking mechanism works correctly to smoothly turn her head side to side as you walk her legs. She can stand on her own, has all her fingers, no split seams, cracks or odors, and her arms hold all poses. She is correctly marked on her back "Ginny, Vogue Dolls Inc." and a long patent number. This indicates that she was made in 1955-56, the first years Vogue added molded black eyelashes to their Ginny dolls. Ginny comes to you wearing a darling red cotton dress in excellent condition. The dress closes in back with the original hook and eye closure with no rust, is tagged with the Vogue Dolls Inc. tag, and comes with the original matching panties with lace trim and loose waist elastic. The panties are currently being kept up with a clear elastic band. She wears new pristine white cotton socks and red, unmarked red Mary Jane shoes with working knob closures. She is adorable with her little red drum. You may verify a similar doll on page 140 of Barbara Clark's book; The Colorful World of Ginny, where she is shown in this budget dress and incorrectly shown wearing a 1953 Lucy hat with red bow.
