Description: Hall of Fame manager, and former Big League outfielder, Whitey Herzog recently passed at the age of 92. Whitey played from 1956-1963 with four different teams, but it was his career as a manager that made him a Hall of Famer. Herzog had such great managerial success he was inducted in both the Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame (managing from 1975-1979), and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame (managing from 1980-1990, where his uniform #24 has been retired), as well as Cooperstown. Herzog won a World Series as manager of the Cardinals in 1982, and was named NL Manager of the Year in 1985. Coming out of the 2013 Panini Cooperstown Collection product, card HOF-WTY of the autographed “Cooperstown Signatures” insert set pictures Hall of Fame manager, Whitey Herzog. The signature is clean, smudge-free, signed in bold blue ink directly on the card front below Herzog’s image. This card is serial numbered on back 419/699. Card is out of the pack fresh.
