Description: I purchased this sword from an estate about thirty years ago and was told it was a world war II sword. I don't know how to read the marks on the tang and haven't found them on line anywhere. I see there are Japanese sword societies with news letters I am hoping that some viewers will recognize the marks and bid accordingly. It is a very nice looking sword with no damage. The sword is 38 " overall hilt to tip of blade. The exposed part of the blade blade is26 1/2 ".
