Description: Rare and original WW1 era British map entitled "29th DIVISION - MARCH THROUGH BELGIUM AND GERMANY ACROSS THE RHINE TO BRIDGEHEAD" which was produced by the "Field Survey Battalion, Royal Engineers" in January 1919 to record the triumphant advance of the 29th Division to take part in the Allied Occupation of Germany following the Armistice. The march began on the 18th November and took four weeks to complete. The map records the route and the various HQ positions etc established along the way. It is split into two separate maps printed on a single sheets. Please note, this is not the kind of map produced and marketed for the civilian market. It was produced in the field, most probably for circulation amongst officers of the 29th Division. As such, very few would have been produced. It's in decent enough condition for its age with a few stains and some very slight damage to a few edges. Measures 85cm x 56cm. International parcels will be fully tracked.
