Description: An original WW2 British Cavalry Pattern 1940 Web Carrier, Water Bottle with Shoulder Strap, carrier maker marked M.E.Co 1941, broad arrow, square with small broad arrow with 48. Has the MK VIII water bottle and original cork stopper and string, wool is in great condition and all stitching tight. Shoulder strap maker stamped possibly B.Ltd not positive, Broad Arrow 1942 large L and another ink stamp some what faded. Web carrier made from the standard double warp thread used in most webbing equipment during the first half of the 20th century. Very nice grouping of equipment from a time in history that a cavalry unit was becoming less utilized in war, only in name.
